Happy Thursday everyone! Spring is finally just a couple of weeks away! I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready for spring to be here; I miss bright blue skies, color in the trees and flowers! With spring approaching it’s time to plan our wardrobes, what to wear, current trends, and seasonal sales! I’ve been following my favorites brands and stores daily and I’m excited to have put together a spring wishlist of things I need/want for the spring. Above are two shirts that I’ve been looking at and this BP off the shoulder top has been really catching my eye! I’m falling in love with this off the shoulder trend right now; effortless style and feminine. Bell sleeves are coming back and I couldn’t be happier! While I was in college I studied the history of costume (basically the history of fashion) and I fell in love with bell sleeves! It fascinates me how trends from the past remerge every few years. Needless to say I need a top with bell sleeves, and I’m adoring this one by Madewell at Nordstrom right now and it’s on sale!! This is a great shirt to transition into spring!
I am really feeling the blushed tones for spring. With that being said how cute are these tops!? Statements sleeves are a big trend right now and I’m loving every minute of it! I adore this cold shoulder ruffled sleeve top! It’s perfect for spring/summer, and it’s one of those tops that add effortless style to any outfit(my favorite kind of style!). I love sweaters, cardigans…just about anything cozy so I am definitely crushing on this slouchy pullover. For me it is another must have piece for transitioning from winter to spring.
I was never one to buy a lot of jeans because I have a difficult figure for them(smaller waist than my thighs…nightmare for jean shopping), but lately I have been on the hunt for ones that fit my frame just right. After I had my son my hips spread a little bit, and I already had an hourglass figure, so things got a little bit more difficult. Now when I shop for jeans I try to look for mid to high rise waist, stretchy, and or ankle fitted/cropped, because these elements are what help compliment my figure. Previously in my life most of my jeans were dark wash or black, but this spring I’m opening my drawers to some new looks! I’m totally falling for these Topshop ankle skinny jeans, because they are high waisted, soft denim, and have an ankle length hem; plus the pricing is really good too for everyday jeans! These light pink NYDJ jeans are just right for spring/summer, I love that the ankles are convertible and they are a soft stretch which is more comfortable. I’ve been looking for a great pair of ripped jeans for spring/summer, and I found a cute pair by Madewell with cropped ankles.
I’ve never been one to wear dresses often, but I do like this Sincerely Jules cara dress. It looks super cozy, and I can style it easily by tying a plaid shirt around the waist ( + I’m a big fan of Jules!). This Madewell side lace up cardigan was love at first sight; so comfy looking and I’m all about that side lace up detail (it’s all in the details!).
I could spend all day looking at shoes! Who is with me?! It was hard for me to narrow down which shoes I wanted most for this spring. I’m a major fan of neutral colors, because you can build more outfits and use them more often. I’m craving these Dolce Vita loafer mules like there is no tomorrow! They are the perfect pair of shoes for any casual outfit; they are comfy, cute, and they slide on and off (what’s not to love?!). These Vince Camuto perforated peep toe booties are my favorite booties for this spring. I love that the heel isn’t to high or low and how low the side panels dip. When it comes to Vince Camuto I’m usually willing to spend a little bit more, because his products last me years. Lace up shoes are one of my many favorite styles (especially in summer), so when found these BP lace up sandals I really liked them(and these are on sale right now!). They also have a good heel height, just enough to keep it casual. I love them in this chestnut color best, but I also really like the nude as well! I want an easy, on the go pair of sneakers and I love these Steve Madden slip ons. I love that they are perforated, and I love all of the colors that this shoe comes in, but I’m going to get them in black first!
That wraps of my spring wish list; I wanted to keep short and simple. I hope the items on my list, inspired, or helped you out in one way or another! Let me know what you think! Have a great day everyone!
Keeping it casual,
